Welcome, welcome.
Here we are. Lets each purloin a copy of Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird and get cracking. The way we did Moby, which seemed to work well, is that we posted as we read. If you want to be able to post, you'll have to ask the Mockingbird Triad (Her Grace, Degolar, and the Captain) for an invite. Or e-vite, as the case may be.

Too soon, too soon. We were supposed to dicker about the selection for another week so I could finish my current listening selection (Bartimaeus, book 2). Mockingbird is on request, though.

Since I've already read "To Kill a Mockingbird" I'll just sit this one out. If I remember correctly it is a pretty fast read that grabs your attention quite well.
And yes, it is definitely a great book. The movie was pretty good but it can't do the book justice.
ooh, ooh, can I play? :) Maybe, if people are overly familiar with the Bird then the discussion could be spiced up with things like the new Mockingbird: a Portrait of Harper Lee by Charles Shields (which I luuuurved) or maybe a comparison of Capote and Lee and we could decide once and for all whether they wrote pieces of each other's stuff.
ok, back to writing my paper :(
